Callifornia Street Trolley at Dusk- SOLD
I like this scrape because it's not about the rain, but about the funny things that happen when the sun sets in the hills. In places its totally dark, and others the light is still bright like noon. In can set the windows on fire with the reflections, and yet there's no rain involved. It also demonstrates how challenging perspective can be in a city with no straight streets! There’s a feeling that you get at dusk in San Francisco, when the sun sets behind you, leaving you in the dark, but sets the hill in front of you on fire. It's an original oil painting on a 30" x 30" wood panel. San Francisco, CA.
