This is an original 30" x 30" oil painting on wood panel, showing Chinatown in, San Francisco, after the rain. This painting won second place at the 2017 San Mateo County Fair. This painting epitomizes what I am trying to accomplish with all of my cityscrapes. It has a very strong one point perspective that draws you into the painting. It has the high contrast between the darkness of the night and the lights of the cars and the lanterns, on top of all the reflections that bounce around on the wet pavement, exemplifying luminescence.
